Rea's Pavilion
Rea’s Pavilion was a large indoor place that housed dances, celebrations, and meetings. It is similar to a community center today. By 1914, Mr. Rea showed moving pictures, like movies, on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday nights. Tickets were 5 cents for children and 10 cents for adults. The Reas had a sustainable house. They had a cow, two horses, a vegetable garden, chickens, pigeons, and rabbits. They also had a playground for the children, a gas house where they made their own gas lighting, a wash house, and a tool house.
